3 years 10 months

Timmy has made friends in preschool and has to be reminded not to talk to them during rug time. I talked to Timmy how its important to give his teacher his full attention during rug time. I have tried to introduce Timmy to playing catch and kicking around a mini-soccer ball, but he seem to prefer quiet activities. Overall Timmy is doing well in school and getting along with other children.

Timmy has come along well with his language skills he sings along to songs in class. Timmy now can rely on complete sentences and seems to understand most of what you say. He often points out when someone doesn't do something in right order. Timmy fantasy play has gotten more and more elaborate, sometimes involving superheroes, or mommy daddy. I feel his new language skills is going to be a positive thing, because Timmy and I will be able to communicate better which will lead to a better understanding of one another.

Timmy is adapting well to social situations in school and at home. He seems to get along with other children well, but is more a follower than a leader. Timmy at time does have a behavior problem at times. He tends to be a little compliant and somewhat more aggressive at school. Also I don't feel he has any emotional problems at this time. At this time I don't think this is a problem I believe it's a part of growing up. I feel Timmy is going thru his terrible 3's. If it continues much longer I will be forced to take action on Timmy.

30 months

There have been multiple environmental events that have affected Timmy. Timmy was over a neighbor's house when he was scratched by their cat. Since then Timmy has been very clingy and whiny than usual. Timmy had a accident on his hot wheel tricycle by falling off a curb and got scratched up and had been avoiding riding his tricycle lately. Also since Timmy has turned 2 y.o his daycare provider has changed. Timmy was initially excited about it but within a week is clingy and crying more often and has difficulty cooperating with the daycare provider. Thing have gotten better with the daycare provider, but still Timmy has not built a good relationship with the new care provider. My partner just found out that she is pregnant and we wonder how Timmy is going react to this news.

Timmy is having some problems in certain areas, but i feel as he gets older these will go away. For example Timmy refuses to put a jacket on before he heads outside. Timmy is friendly with other children, but sometimes has problems with sharing with other children. Also Timmy seems to be very concerned with pleasing you and following the rules.

19 Months

Timmy's exploratory skills have improved over last couples of months. He is able to find objects after long delays and finds item in different hiding spots. Timmy loves this game and wants to play it over and over. Also Timmy loves throwing toys from his crib to see what happens to the toy and I play along by putting toys back into crib so Timmy can throw them out again.

Timmy's temperament has been unstable at times, but it is most likely due to me getting layoff from my job and moving to a downtown apartment. Timmy is outgoing and friendly to new people he meets. He acts shy when he sees himself in the mirror and uses the "me" word a lot. Also he has become resistant to your requests for cooperation by saying NO or refuses things that he accepted before such as food and bath time. Overall Timmy is very easy to get along with.

Timmy had a developmental assessment and Timmy seem to get along with other kids and was unusually cooperative for a child his age. The specialist thought that Timmy was securely attached, but the communication system between parents and child could be improved. The examiner also noted that Timmy gross motor skills were less than a other child his age. Also the examiner noted that Timmy had some difficulty concentrating for more than a few minutes on any one activity, but she noted that it could be newness of the situation that prompted this.

Timmy's 9mo

Timmy is now 9 months old. Timmy eats very well, he is given different veggies and meats everyday. Also he has had bouts with diarrhea and G.I problems. Timmy bed time is 8pm but sometimes cries himself to sleep. The pediatrician states Timmy's gross and fine motor are a little behind for his age, but pediatrician advises to engage in more one on one gross and fine motor play with Timmy.

Timmy seems to be slow to warm up to new people and new situations.

Timmy's attachment to my partner and I at the 3mo. mark seems to be about equal, but at 8mo. mark it seems like Timmy favors my partner at times.

Birth Of Timmy

Timmy was a normal birth. Labor was about 10hrs long and it was a natural birth.
